Match your H212 handheld remote with a receiver

You can match your H212 handheld remote receiver in two ways:

  • Using the built-in magnets on the back of the device.
  • Power cycling the C220 receiver. For example, turning the vehicle ignition on and off.

Match your remote and receiver using built-in magnets

There are two built-in magnets on the bottom of the H212 handheld remote and a sensor under the Aarcomm logo on the C220 receiver.

To match your device with a C220 receiver, both units must be in match mode.

  1. Turn the C220 receiver on. The LED should be white.
  2. Wave the magnets on your device over the sensor on the C220 until the LED light changes to dark blue. This indicates that the C220 is in match mode.
  3. Turn off the H212.
  4. On the H212 remote, press and hold the red button. The red LED will turn on.
  5. With the red button pressed, press and hold the top-left, middle-left, and bottom-left buttons. The green LED will turn on.

  6. With both lights on, release the red button and the top-left, middle-left, and bottom-left buttons. The top screen will say Match Mode, followed by Match Successful.
  7. Turn off the C220.
  8. Turn on both the H212 and C220. Your system is ready to operate.

Match your remote and receiver using the power switch

Use this method if you can't physically access the C220 receiver. After putting the H212 remote into match mode, you have 60 seconds to put the C220 in match mode.

Since you may not be able to see the C220 LED, put the remote device into match mode first:

  1. Turn off the H212
  2. Press and hold the red button. The red LED will turn on.
  3. Press and hold the top-left, middle-left, and bottom-left buttons. The green LED will turn on.

  4. With both lights on, release the red button and the bottom three buttons on the left side.
  5. Turn the power of the C220 receiver on for one second then off for a half second.
  6. Repeat six to seven times. On the sixth time, keep the power on.
  7. Check the screen of your remote device for the Match Successful message. Your system is ready to operate.

Match failed

If you get a Match Failed message, it could mean:

  • The C220 receiver wasn't powered on or didn't enter match mode and the remote device timed out
  • There's incompatible software on the remote device and C220. Contact our support team for further assistance.
