How do I balance the Range and Battery performance of my Remote Control System
Aarcomm Remote Control Systems provide superior range and battery performance, however, there must be a trade-off between the two.
Depending on your needs and the places where you use your Aarcomm Remote Control System, you might find it more important to get the best signal range, especially if you're working in areas with lots of interference like steel-reinforced concrete walls. Or, you might prefer to have the longest working time for those big jobs, or maybe you'd like a nice balance between the two.
You can easily adjust these settings on the Remote Control by accessing Configuration Mode.
Once you're in Configuration Mode, just scroll to the Radio Performance section and pick one of the options from the table below, keeping in mind how it might affect your battery life.
Performance Setting | Approximate Range | Average Response Time | Approximate Run-Time |
HighPerf (Recommended Default) | 1500 metres | 35-70 ms | 53 hours |
GoodPerf | 1400 metres | 35-70 ms | 60 hours |
SavePowr | 1500 metres | 35-140 ms | 150 hours |
LongRun | 1400 metres | 35-140 ms | 160 hours |
